88 pages, 60,000 words, 5 battle sequences, and 3 main characters later I’m halfway through the book.  I think I might have one whole section where there isn’t a single battle sequence.  Not a single fight.  I figure the rules are entirely different for writing about superheroes and I’m allowed to have multiple battle sequences as opposed to one or two big ones.  I mean when I think about other books with supernatural-esque elements there aren’t that many, but none of them have ever been about superheroes.  That subject matter seems to be largely reserved for comic books and fan-fiction.
